Ok Marian this is what we do: grab our pitchforks and.............WHAT???!!!!!!!!!!!! :dunno I thought it was a good idea! :dance Ah well, sorry anyway Marian. And I agree weddings and babies aren't the only important moments in our lives. I've had neither yet haven't been celebrated for doing anything else equally as important. Like buying my own house - by myself! Quite an accomplishment since I'm a girl and all. And I was only 26 at the time. Or buying my own car. Or getting a new job. Or reading a book. Apparently even in this day and age, getting married and having babies is the only thing worth salt to society. Very sad. This totally reminds me of an episode of SEX & THE CITY. Apparently being single and not a mother makes you less important in life because you're obviously not as busy, worldly, educated, experienced or worthwhile a human being. I say TOSH to all of it. Celebrate your graduation with splendor Marian! I will with you in fact. :festival :party

Marian, Congratulations on your graduation,Dear!!!!!! What an accomplishment not everyone gets to make, believe me! And, positively NOBODY can ever take that away from you either!!!!!!!!!! I assure you, though you may not feel too responsive to the whole idea right now, not being married or having children isn't the worst thing that can happen to a vibrant, intelligent, lovely and YOUNG lady..............there are plans afoot for you that you haven't even dreamed of yet!!!! TIME is the key word, and even if the right person doesn't come along, aren't you still better off as you are now, than miserable with the wrong person?.................

TIME is the key word, and even if the right person doesn't come along, aren't you still better off as you are now, than miserable with the wrong person?................. That is very true, Shipmate. Of course, being with the right person wouldn't be bad. Personally, I'm still waiting. When the phone rings if I'm thinking - "Oh him again, do I want to answer?" that just maybe he's not the right one.

If I pass these 2 papers I am doing now, I can graduate anytime I want, but i want to take part in the ceremony next May, as that is closer to the time I began my tertiary study. I have received an email from the lady who owns the site and she is saying that the graduation tickers need new images to be drawn and that is next to impossible with a toddler at home. But all I need is the wrod wedding removed from the sunflower ticker. :???: I'll be graduated by the time she's done. Thanks for your support, it's nice to know i am not the only one who feels this way

But all I need is the wrod wedding removed from the sunflower ticker. :???: Am I alone is sympathising with this lady (and yourself too, of course, Marian :hug ) It's so frustrating when real life encroaches on virtual life! I'm so :wall: with the :construction: of Ioanzone.com at the moment, that  :shake pc: :hammer :faint says it all. (All submissions of sympathy gratefully received! :thud )

Um, well....I'm exactly the most visual person, I need things kind of spelt out to me as to what they mean so I'm not quite sure about what smileys mean. Anyway, here's some sympathy *hands over sympathy* :hug

I have received an email from the lady who owns the site and she is saying that the graduation tickers need new images to be drawn and that is next to impossible with a toddler at home. But all I need is the wrod wedding removed from the sunflower ticker. :???: Well, we can forgive this lady for not being able to quickly cater to the needs of every visitor to her site. However, nothing and nobody can diminish the importance of your graduation, Marian. Good luck with the papers you're doing.

Shipmate- 09-21-2007

You have my support and encouragement Stevie & Marian, sorry things are so frustrating right now.

GNAT0629- 09-21-2007

Matie - what you said about not being with the wrong person is better is so totally true. I could have settled ages ago, but I doubt I'd be happy. So here I sit, waiting for Mr. Right. *sigh* Not really.........I live my life and whatever comes my way will be dealt with then. GG - I feel ya sister! Power to us both!! Stevie - I'm so sorry for your frustration. Hang in there girl! :group hug to all my fellow Iozoners!! By the way - I've got 5 days til my trip!!!!!!!!!! So I'm feeling really good right now. One day left of work and then I'm outta here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so :wall: with the :construction: of Ioanzone.com at the moment, that  :shake pc: :hammer :faint says it all. How could I forget to tell you that you have all my sympathy and support in your efforts to construct Ioanzone.com? :hug

I'm so :wall: with the :construction: of Ioanzone.com at the moment, that  :shake pc: :hammer :faint says it all. (All submissions of sympathy gratefully received! :thud ) Stevie - I'm sorry I can't be more help on the technical side, but I'm always here to listen and maybe lend an uneducated perspective. :hug It may not yet be what you visualize, but I must say from the participant side - Ioanzone looks great and works wonderfully.

Gaffer'sGirl- 09-21-2007

Gnat - I haven't given up on looking for Mr. Right yet. Like you, I'm living my life my way until I find him. In my former home, I actually painted a living room wall pale pink because I figured if I ever got married that was not likely to be possible. Have a wonderful trip. Maybe you'll meet a tall, dark, handsome Sicilian. Yummy!

Horatio Hornblower- 09-21-2007

So here I sit, waiting for Mr. Right. *sigh* Not really.........I live my life and whatever comes my way will be dealt with then. Yeah, me too. My mom keeps asking me when will i ever meet a guy and "You're not looking for it. They won't just ring the doorbell and say "Hi, here i am!" She just keeps bringing it up and i'm getting so sick of it. When it will happen, it will. Everything has its time and place. If there is a man destined for me, i will meet him someday. I still believe patiently, that all good things comes to the one who waits. And tomorrow i'm going on vacation, again. To Mallorca. For one week. Since the temperture didn't get any higher this summer than 20 C (68 F) in Holland'. So if the sunshine doesn't come to me, i'll just have to go to the sunshine!

Enjoy your holiday, HH. :dance

Sylviane- 09-21-2007

Reminds of an old joke: "At every wedding my aunt would look at me and say: "When will it be your turn?" untill I got sick and tired of the question. But I found a way to shut her up. I asked her the very same question at a funeral..." Btw, HH, have fun in Mallorca.
