There's never a bad one anywhere. Mr. H.,you're the BEST!!!! :thumbs up
Thanks to Havoc for that nice contribution. Easy on the eyes,
Good Monday, me hearties! A little Midshipman to brighten your day?

:The General:
Awe! Near to the beginning of the obsession with things HH and Ioan. Though the first shot of him approaching the ship gave me an inkling I was onto something big.
Yes,I can remember that very first time for me,too,GG. I remember thinking.........gosh,he's good-looking,isn't he! ...........and after about an hour,I was HOOKED..................
Ah yes, after the first episode, I watched the re-run and waited expectantly for the next episode. And then could hardly wait for the next series.
Of course, we didn't always have the pleasure of seeing his British projects that fell between HH series.
No,unfortunately,we didn't. Had I had the pleasure of it all,I know I would have been in many sweet dreams,I'm sure. :cloud9: :cloud9:
Question: What is on the chain hanging 'round Horatio's neck? Can any of you see it plainer than I can??? (To me,it looks like a portrait of a lady wearing a hat-----Horatio's mommy, perhaps?)
It is indeed Horatio's dear Mama, Matie. Remember the scene early in The Even Chance (The Duel) when Simpson bullies Horatio and rips it off, suggesting Mrs. Hornblower " earns her living on her back"? Poor Horry got a beating! :waaah:
(Blame my lack of skills, but the scene is so dark it took ages to get the clearest shot.......)
Ahhh,yes,.......it's coming back to me now........thanks,guess I just trailed off on that somehow! Poor Horatio,he got off to such a bad start in that one didn't he?
Oh yes I also remember it. Oh it was such a great time, these first episodes of Horatio. After the first episode, I was sitting there, speechless, staring at the most beautiful boy I had ever seen. This serie had made such a deep impression on me. I could not wait for the next episode.
And this impression of Horatio, Ioan has never gone away. I had opened a new world for me.
I agree Marthe, Ioan as Horatio made a wonderful and lasting impression.
