Hornblower on ITV3 (UK)
The Even Chance was shown on ITV3 yesterday (Sunday) at 5.50pm. Hopefully this is the start of the full series!

I always find it really strange how miffed I am when I miss showings of Hornblower, through work, or whatever, even though I have all the DVDs and can watch them any time (without adverts, too!). :dunno I hope anyone who doesn't have their own copies can catch these!

I love watching Hornblower on the TV rather than DVD, I don't know why.

I think it's that feeling that you are enjoying it with other people who are watching at the same time. When the music swells and Horatio saves the day or Horatio and Archie are standing on the mast and that feeling of excitement and uplifting of your spirit happens; you know someone else is experiencing it at the same time (and perhaps for the first time). It adds some enjoyment to it. Like taking a friend to a movie you've seen and enjoyed immensely and hoping they will experience the same feeling.

I think you may have something there, GG! Strangely enough, I totally enjoyed FF on TV the other night - could have been who I was watching it with..... :wink:

I agree with you,GG. Just thinking that maybe somebody out there is getting to see these good stories for the first time (not to mention getting a good look at Mr. G. in this role!!), is a happy thought,isn't it?
