Hornblower Auction
You might be interested in reading some of the reports from the auction. One Horatian got the script. One of our members was there as well. http://www.horatians.org/forum/index.php?topic=7964.20

Havoc, thanks so much for posting this...I've really enjoyed looking at it, and I'm so happy for the lady who has the script! I know she's walking on air now!!!!!

Gaffer'sGirl- 10-03-2007

Thanks for sharing that Havoc. What fun for those people who went. I hope Fishforit has some exciting things to share also.

Thanks for sharing, Havoc. I'm a bit envious of the lady who got the script and very happy for her.

WOW! Fishy, you struck gold, didn't you?!! I'm so happy for you, and glad you had such a grand time!!!!! Wasn't it nice that you could meet up with the other ladies and have a great visit? Yep, I'll have to admit I'm a little pea-green with envy...but, I won't hold that against you! Way to go,Girl!!!

I'm green right along with Shipmate, but oh so thrilled for you. I'm excited just hearing about it. That is so fantastic and you had fun to boot. I hope you be able to share some little tidbits with us, for instance if you get that Welsh phrase translated. :applaud: Hurrah for you!

I'm also a little green with Shipmate and GG, but I'm very happy that you had a lot of fun at the Hornblower Auction, Fishorit, and were able to bring some HH props back home.

Havoc- 10-04-2007

Glad you had such a good time Fishforit. Hope you post your photos somewhere!

WOW - Fishforit - you hit the motherlode!!!! I was reading through the list of items and saw several that I would have loved to get my hands on, hubby said he would like to have one of the officers long coats - glad to hear a lot of the items are going to people who will really cherish them and not try to resale for profit. At the next "meeting" you will have to blow your bosun's whistle to pipe everyone on board - hahahaha Hope to see pictures of all the winnings!!!

Love that hat. That's one of the item that I would have considering bidding on, if I could have made it to the auction. Thanks for the pic, Fishforit.

Blue and gray??? Hubby probably would have turned his nose up at that, how weird - but nice to hear that they are going to a museum. Seems like the guy would have been a bit nicer too all these period pieces he could use for countless displays in his museum, truly sad. Love the hat picture - that is the one from the scene with Mr. Tappling picking up supplies with the threat of the plague - right? Can't wait to see more - CONGRATS again

Oh, I so want to jump Horatio's bones in that photo! I do love that hat. Hopefully it went to a good home. Oh, btw, thanks FishForIt. Love you too :applaud:

Great picture, Fishforit! Thanks............with my penchant for "famous" hats.........mmmmmmmm! THAT particular one is really lovely. (Havoc, you're right about the "bones" thing!) Heh,heh,heh,heh......
