Hooked on S&G....

Ioan's mother is supposedly in this film. Anyone know which scene she is in? At imdb.com, Gill Griffiths is listed as "first woman" in the cast listing. This made me curious :) Gill Griffiths is in the scene where Solomon first goes into the village to sell his products, which is about 5 minutes in. She's the first woman he's seen talking to. It's a real blink-and-you'll miss it part, with only a few seconds of screen-time.

Finally got a copy of S&G!! :applaud: My daughter and I sat and watched it last night. Very beautifully done! Ioan looked so young and innocent. I loved the scene when Gaenor opens the door to see Solomon for the first time and he is completely speechless and smitten....that comes across as very natural. Now if someone could only translate the welsh interview Ioan gives on YouTube about S&G and the mystique will be finally lifted. For my Aussie friends...........the American dollar is really low, now is a good time to buy from Amazon US as I did. Unfortunately we cannot purchase the cheapest DVD copies of S&G as our American friends can because they don't post to Australia, but credit card/debitcard in hand is all you need. None are brand new but mine was fine. Also, Amazon UK has copies of both "Man and Boy" and "Happy now". Thankgoodness for multiregion players!! :love: :love: Susie D

So glad you enjoyed S & G,SusieD, it is a tear-jerker, but well worth the hankies. I know the scene you refer to---there's a certain twinkle in the eye that Ioan gives,isn't there?
