I think you're right GG, we had this discussion back at IOL around a half year ago and Ap gave the same or very similar answer. Ioan hasn't shown everything before, his upper hip and butt is as x-rated as it gets. Thank god! I got my copy of S&G yesterday in the mail and watched it for the first time this morning............I was so happy I was by myself when I did! The past few days I've been pretty peeved an lackluster about Ioan, From what's been said on some of the threads, and I know I'm going to get over all that. This movie, and its touching story helps mellow my present snit about him, how can even the handling and cutting out of a dress be SO sensuously played??!! how can I see Solomon pounded to a pulp by a brutish older brother and not be able to get a large knot out of my throat?!! How do I NOT sigh deeply when I see Solomon struggling to rise from the snow to find the love he knows he MUST have?!! And then, so wounded, so hurt physically and emotionally, spitting blood, wander his way, freezing, until he finds his forbidden love-----ohh, ioan, (I mean, Solomon!) How do I stay perturbed at you for very long, when you can give a performance like THAT??!! I'm not going to comment on any nudity in the film, other than it was tastefully executed, and I'm not entirely sure just how much it added to the story--------but I DO know that I can see why it was nominated for Oscar!

Shipmate, where did you buy your copy? I have checked Amazon and the cheapest is $40. Wonder why it has such a high price tag. I checked Blockbuster Video and they don't have it to rent. I really wanna see this movie.

Yes, it's very expensive, isn't it? I had to pay £30 for my copy and it's only VHS. Heaven knows what I'd have to pay for a region 2 DVD :hide2: Still worth it though! :cloud9: :weeping :love2:
