Help with avatar and sig
every avatar I try to use exceeds the size limit. They are images I got from IO so I don't know how to shrink them. Also how do you put a picture in the sig as there is only room for text? How can I change my Lieutenant status? I am usually pretty good with this stuff! HELP! Thank you!

1. You need an image editing programme (Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, or PaintShop Pro, etc.) to resize pics. If you don't want or can't do so, you can upload the pic you want to use to a site to an image hosting site like photobucket.com, imageshack.us, www.villagephotos.com and then paste the link from your pic there into the little box in your profile here where it says "Link to off-site avatar". 2. You have to paste the link to the image you want to use in your signature as in the signature box in your profile. 3. Your rank change with the number of your posts, as follows Rank and Minimum Posts Lieutenant Nil Captain 100 Major 250 Lieutenant-Colonel 500 Colonel 750 Brigadier 1000 Major-General 1500 You can create your own category (no promotion through the ranks in this case) and PM it to Stevie, who can then make it appear under your username)

You know, now and again I have to stop and remind myself YET AGAIN of what a MORON I am!!!!!!!!!!!! I have worked,fumed, and nearly torn my hair trying to link the avatar I liked SO much, to no avail..............the avatar I'm after is the one Stevie gave a site for at Imageshack where Ioan is dressed in a whitish vest, tan-colored shirt and has his hands in his pockets, while looking directly into the camera----------ggggrrrrrrrrrrr! If some kind soul out there could give a computer-challenged dingbat a hand, it would be SO welcomed! :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

Matie, I think I see the problem! (I know! Hang the flags out!) The pic I think you mean wasn't posted as an avatar, but I'll make it one for you. it probably wouldn't load because it's too big for an avatar the way it is. Hang on in there....... Stevie

I see that your avatar is ok now. As for your getting an error message when you click on the reply button, I'm not having this problem on this side. I checked your profile and everything seems to be fine there. Let us know if you're still having it and if it is on a particular thread that you're having it or if you're having it generally in all threads.
