I've thought that was an excellent picture of Ioan since the moment I first saw it so my vote would go for - Begone, you are interrupting my perusal of this fine-as-hell man - because he's cute isn't quite enough.
You can say that again. Those "oldies-but-goodies" sure do stand the test of time, don't they? (Hey,Helen Mirren doesn't look too bad in those pictures below that either!!)

Well, it's the proper poll, "Frivolous People", she's got that right <LOL>
And yeah, the Lancelot era photos do have Ioan at his height of attractiveness!
I think in general, people hit a peak of sorts at thirty and the years surrounding it. Their face has matured from being a "baby face" or awkward beauty, but most haven't yet hit graying hair and double chin or turkey neck.
Personally, I think with Ioan's facial structure he will continue to be a very handsome man and age well as long as he stays within nature's boundaries. But, there is something about his hairstyle, weight and scraggly beard that made him look exceptionally scrumptious while he prepared for Lancelot.
. . . . . a BIG "hear,hear" to THAT,GG!! . . . . .
Agreed, ladies! I also think that for most people, camera angles make a huge amount of difference - various pics from the same event can be on a wide range of attractiveness (and, of course, there's always the beholder's eye........ )
The type of lens can make a difference, too. Telephoto vs. mid-range or wide and distance can make a differnce in whether someone's face looks wider or narrower as they can mess with proportions.
In other words, the camera can certainly lie!
Ain't it the truth! Especially with a good D.P. or bad one.
