Got a question for Mr. Fantastic? (BBC)
"Ioan Gruffudd aka Reed Richards - the ever so flexible leader of the Fantastic 4 - is dropping in for a chat with BBC Movies next week - and we want to put your questions to him. So, if there's anything you've been dying to ask Mr Stretchy Knickers, from snogging Jessica Alba, to the Silver Surfer, to The Thing's choice of fabric softener, just stick your question in the box below and hit 'Send'. We'll put the best ones to Ioan on Thursday 7th June." http://www.bbc.co.uk/films/f42/ask.shtml

Thanks Frances. Gosh! Now I have to go think. Maybe I can manage a question or two, the biggest problem is coming up with one that is not like "What superpower would you choose?" :horatio - me with my thinking cap that I hope doesn't become a :hammer dunce cap. GG

Questions: 1. Would he ever like to produce or direct a film? If so, which would he want to do, the directing or the producing? 2. What book/story would he buy the rights to for the purpose of bringing it to the screen? 3. What about his work makes him the happiest, the most fulfilled? 4. If he had to choose between the two, would he rather be known for being great actor of his time or a great human being? And why that choice of an answer? 5. What about acting drew him to it? 6. Of all of his work, which one makes him the proudest in regards to his parents...the movie or series that he wanted them to like the most? Thanks. Sandra

Thanks for the link Frances. Those are great questions ilovemylife. I only have one question for him. Something tells me it wouldn't be chosen.

Yeah, thanks for the heads up Frances. Sadly my question wouldn't be as nice and innocent as my previous one that he answered in the Gather interview, so I'll sit this one out.

Now I've had time to check into this site, it's quite a good one, isn't it? Can't believe I'm been a fan of Film 2007 since it was Film 1980 something and didn't check out this site! :hammer As for my question, they wouldn't use it either. So I'd probably go for "Is it true you're trying to obtain the rights to the Hornblower books, in order to reprise the role?"

Yes, it is a very good site, isn't it Stevie  I tried submitting a question, but I don't know whether it's all that good. This is what I wrote:- 'I know that as a British actor, you're pleased to be cast in heroic roles in the US, but would you consider a leading role that was cast against type, and what might that be?' :dunno

StevieT- 06-06-2007

Good one, Red!

Shipmate- 06-06-2007

Would you ever consider the Broadway stage? If so, what type roles(s) would entice you most? Where do you see yourself professionally 5 years from now? How would you react if you were asked to do "Dancing With the Stars?

Gaffer'sGirl- 06-08-2007

So, has anybody seen yet if this interview actually took place? Was there a transcript? I ended up sending in a couple of questions, so now I'm really curious. GG

Shipmate- 06-08-2007

Yes! Me too,me too!....... :sailor:
