Giving Ioan A Shower!
:bath :bath :bath Awwwwwww,c'mon now,.....you KNOW I didn't mean it like T-H-A-T!!! tsk,tsk,tsk................. :cold shower 1 :cold shower 1 :cold shower 1 ................ nah, more what we have in mind here is in terms of what might constitute a fun and interesting 'virtual baby shower' for Welshboy. (Baby showers don't have to be for just mommies anymore, you know?!) Are there refreshment/food ideas,or recipes you could suggest for such a gathering? Decorations? What gifts would you present to the new offspring? Do you have suggestions for who to invite to this party? How about the setting/size/location for this event? Let's see what all of us would come up with to,'cybernetically', shower Ioan with good wishes for his approaching Daddiness!
Welsh Cakes, must be served - most definitely. Yellow daffodils to decorate.
Yes, and a few Welsh flags tastefully diplayed around, perhaps? :Wales :Wales :Wales :Wales :Wales :Wales :Wales :Wales :Wales
I think we should invite The Bambers,of course, the Robert Lindsays,Matthew Rhys (and date),.......just for a start...............also, I believe I faintly hear the sound of Guinness bottles, and maybe a few Corona Lights being opened someplace...........
Another scenario, and please, feel free to add to any of this----------another scene for Ioan's 'shower' could be on the beach at "Cardiff-By-The-Sea" for an evening of fun at a beach-side BBQ. Any more ideas to add to this event?
Really like that last suggestion. Cardiff by the Sea is very pretty and in late August or early September - quite nice. It would be a very different kind of shower, singing Welsh folk songs by the campfire with Hot dogs- American.
maybe catered in from PINK'S???!!! With all the trimmings-----yeah,nice!
I was thinking the same thing.
Remember when the Grand Turk was up for sale a little while back? (Whatever happened in that deal anyway??? Anybody know??!!) Well,I was thinking that the new owner might like to transform the old vessel into a very POSH and tasteful restaurant, where a very elegant private "shower" could be given to Ioan. Lobster, cavier, pink "champagne" punch (Sorry,Mommy, none for you right now!),and all the trimmings! -------------------- I think Santa Catalina would be a pretty spot to drop anchor for this bash, and,of course,Ioan would be expected to look exactly like he did at the BAFTA awards in 2006!!! (Whew, where's a fan when you really need one! :thud :faint )
Very creative. I sure wouldn't mind being on that ship.
Especially to watch the dancing, huh? Tee heeeeeee!
There's an old steamer moored on the Thames Embankment that's been turned into a floating restaurant called the SS Hornblower if that's any good?
That would work, And much closer to you.
Oooooo, I like that idea, too, and then maybe a moonlight cruise down the river on a chartered boat of some kind, huh? Very nice!
