No, it was actually based on something (I think) Fishforit said. Don't have time to look it up now, but I believe the person who say it said three scenes.

No, it is a date for Italy.
Differently from what was originally announced (the plan was to release it on May 9), Fireflies in the Garden will be in Italian theatres on September 25, 2008.
Well, maybe that means we'll get it before Christmas, too. One can only hope. At least we know you'll be able to see it soon.
Since Fireflies in the Garden is an American movie, I admit that I find it a bit surreal that I will be seeing this movie in Italy before US viewers will, as it is usually the other way round.
I'm still going by the Julia Roberts interview on David Letterman. It was said twice that the movie would come out in September.
Oh, I hope so, Ship. I think there was a German company involved in financing or distribution which may be why it showed in Berlin and parts of Europe first.

OT: I am a bit upset that, well, ... some girls who have Italian surnames are mostly known for the parties they attend and their boyfriends rather than for merits. Luckily, we have Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Director Gabriele Muccino.
