Actually, the first blogger seems to like the trailer, wondering if it properly represents the film itself (what trailer does, I ask?). The second seems the opposite, suggesting the trailer doesn't do a good film justice. Ah, but variety is the spice of life, as someone once said!

Thanks Annee, for the update. Now I know the release date of the film in Belgium is 10/9/2008. I keep you posted. :happy

Seems like Fireflies, like the TV Set is getting nearer to the Brits...... I hope that it gets a British release - or does it mean that yet again, we shall have to wait for it to become available on DVD - Probably from France? :no no

StevieT- 08-10-2008

I know, Red; I'm grateful to get my hands on Ioan's works in any form to complete my collection, but it would be nice to be able to read the cover notes

Just speaking for myself,of course, that trailer looks pretty much like something I'd like to go and see! And I Love that poster with the little boy out in the field. SO sweet!!!!!

I'm grateful to get my hands on Ioan's works in any form to complete my collection, but it would be nice to be able to read the cover notes> Too true Stevie, especially the bit about the cover notes. I obtained my copy of "Happy Now" from Spain

Thanx,Annee, for the synopsis above. Spoilers bother some people, but they never have me,at all.

Gaffer'sGirl- 08-14-2008

I found it interesting, too. Nice to hear that Ioan is in more than one scene.

I found it interesting, too. Nice to hear that Ioan is in more than one scene. Thanks Annee - very interesting, and whets the appetite. I hope that this film will be released everywhere. As regards your comment GG, I presume that the fact that Ioan is in more than one scene is in the bit which hasn't been translated into english? ( I tried requesting a translation, but it wouldn't work for some reason!)

Gaffer'sGirl- 08-16-2008

No, it was actually based on something (I think) Fishforit said. Don't have time to look it up now, but I believe the person who say it said three scenes.

Shipmate- 08-25-2008

Yipeeeeeeeee! Hooraaaaaaaaaay! We got a date now. Thanks,Annee. :thumbs up :thumbs up

Gaffer'sGirl- 08-25-2008

Is that a U.S. date? I hope so. Have to wonder since the blog's not in English.

Frances- 08-26-2008

Is that a U.S. date? I hope so. Have to wonder since the blog's not in English. No, it is a date for Italy. Differently from what was originally announced (the plan was to release it on May 9), Fireflies in the Garden will be in Italian theatres on September 25, 2008.

Gaffer'sGirl- 08-26-2008

Well, maybe that means we'll get it before Christmas, too. One can only hope. At least we know you'll be able to see it soon.

Frances- 08-26-2008

Since Fireflies in the Garden is an American movie, I admit that I find it a bit surreal that I will be seeing this movie in Italy before US viewers will, as it is usually the other way round.
