Interesting (if a little old) item about the content of Fireflies. Ioan gets a kind of sideways compliment.....

nice one Stevie. I like that sideways cumpliment, haha! Very nice thanks!
Nice. That gives a bit more information about the plot. Hope Ioan has at least a few scenes in this and not just one.
Interesting. It was nice to read some info about the plot.
Thanks for this. We've been lacking any kind of information on this film, and it's nice to finally see at least a smigen of news...hope it keeps on a-comin'.
I´m sorry, I have a question...Is this film based on a book or something??? The plot sounds familiar to me...
On IMDB the film is described as 'semi-autobiographical' . It is written and directed by Dennis Lee, but I'm not sure if he wrote it as a film, wrote a book and dramatised it, or just wrote the screenplay from an existing book. Anyone?
I'm not aware of there being a book written by Dennis Lee or another author the screenplay for Fireflies in the Garden can have been written from, so I guess Dennis Lee wrote it as a film. I may be wrong though... there are surely many books whose existence I'm not aware of.
Oh I see.... Thanks Girls!
Garden will see its World Premiere at Berlin Film Festival.
"Fireflies in the Garden", starring Roberts as well as "The Other Boleyn Girl" with Portman, Johansson and Eric Bana, will be making their world premiere in Berlin, considered one of the world's top festivals.

That's a good one, Annee, and we thank you. Please excuse my ignorance, but is the Berlin Festival considered to be a "biggie" in the entertainment industry? Don't know anything about it.
I´m not an expert Ship, But it´s a very important festival. Last year an Argentinian film was nominated for the golden bear (The biggest award) and although it didn´t won only being there brought a lot of recognition on this film and the actors.
Yes, the Berlin International Film Festival is one of world's leading film festivals. This year, it will be held 7 to 17 February.
Fireflies in the Garden is to be presented out of competition, so no awards to win there.
Oh really? That´s great! Even if there are no awards to win, this can mean greater exposition for the film and maybe, other awards. Thanks for the info Fran
I learn something new all the time. Thank you for the information,Ladies. Now I don't feel quite so uneducated on such topics!
