Could be. She DID use those beautiful eyes of hers, though. Kind of soft and fluttery, maybe that was it......
Had a good chuckle at the many memories I've seen in this thread. Love Boat, Street of San Francisco, Magnum, Starsky and Hutch, Columbo, Charlie's angels, Blake's 7 (omg! Avon!), Dr Who (not sure if that was a GOOD childhood memory, it scared the :censored out of me!), but also St Elswhere, Dallas, Dynasty, and to a lesser point Falcon Crest (mhmm, lorenzo lamas in his young years). I was addicted to watching TV, can you tell? I was one of the few in my class who had tv in her room. A little one. Orange. VERRRRY Orange. :happy
To me the biggest influence in my life is Battlestar Galactica. I cannot imagine myself without it. My fascination for BSG only made me more interested in books, movies,.... surf-music. I saw some pretty obscure movies because some BSG actor had a two second line in it. (Sounds familiar? )
Apollo and Starbuck were my best friends through many lonely evenings. Unfortunately, my more romantic ideas about them have faded, because I met the actors and (sweet and great as they both are) they have aged!!! They aged well, I may add, but still.... But my lovely Apollo has led me to Archie Kennedy and the-other-one-what's-his-name  and on to Matthew Rhys. So, forever, BSG is the best thing that ever happened to me.
Oooh! Falcon Crest - how could I forget that night-time soap opera. My parents lived in Napa when that show came out, so when I went to visit we had to look at the house that was the "Falcon Crest House" and then when I lived in Santa Monica, I went to an ATM to go to a movie and who was there, but Lorenzo Lamas. I was not a huge fan of his, but it was still one of those fun sightings that happen when you live in the L.A. area.
How could I forget 'The Professionals'????? Martin Shaw still qualifies as eye-candy in a craggy sort of way (do you get Judge John Deed anywhere else?) But in the seventies, with those curls and drainpipe jeans.......... :faint
His partner in The Professionals Lewis Collins can of sank without trace, but he had a house round the corner from my drama school in London and I swear there was a track worn in the pavement, by students hoping for a glimpse!
I forgot about Dynasty - I don't know how! My mother and I watched every Wednesday night. Yeah I was 6. Good mothering! :happy It's also about the time she showed me the movies Poltergeist, Psycho and The Haunting (with Julie Harris). Anyhoo............was never into Dallas or any of the others. But my great grandmother was into Knots Landing and when I stayed with my grandma we were forced to watch with her.
Oh! By the way - little tidbit of trivia: did you know that when Lorenzo Lamas was even younger than that (Falcon Crest) - he was also in a little-known musical movie about the 50's with a certain John Travolta???

Yes, in Grease, but almost no one saw that movie! Wasn't much of a succes. :rotf:
Too true Syl! No wonder it took Lorenzo Lamas forever to be discovered! And poor John Travolta had to continue to rely on Welcome Back Kotter! :happy
Santa Barbara? Anyone? We used to say the war will be finished long before the show is over. And let me tell you that our day when we were at war seemed like a month.
Cover up another show that was on when I was little. The opening credit played "Holding out for a hero" where Jon-Erik Hexum starred. He accidentally shot him self on the set.
One of my favorite childhood shows was She-Ra. I thought she was so cool. And of course I watched Sesame Street and Rainbow Brite.
Ah Blue - you must be in my age group then. I was the BIGGEST SheRa fan!!!! She was so tough and pretty right??? And Rainbow Brite - I had that doll along with her horse.
Anybody remember Thundercats??? THUNDERCATS - HO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah it was on about the same time as all those like GI Joe, Transformers and He-Man.
I was certainly 'grown up' (though it doesn't seem so yet! ) by the time SHE-RA came along, but my husband liked it (hmmmm! :???: ) and it always made Newcastle United fans smile, as our star player for a long time was Alan Shearer - the chant on the terraces of St James Park was "Shee- raa! Shee-raa!"
That's pretty freakin sweet Stevie! :happy :happy
She-Ra was one of my role models growing up. She was just so awesome. And yeah I remember Thundercats!

Mine too Blue. Too bad I never grew up to be a tall, leggy, skinny, big boobed, blue eyed, blonde goddess of a woman! :happy
Don't we all wish we could have grown up to look like that, Gnat?
Actually, I probably would have preferred to look like Linda Carter's Wonder Woman. Always thought she was very pretty - kind of like Catherine Zeta Jones.
