Bee people??????? Give us a clue?

Gaffer'sGirl- 03-31-2008

I finally found it - It was The Bugaloos - a Sid and Marty Kroft production - same people who did HRPufnstuff. Looks like they were from Canada, but the actors from it were from England and Scotland. I just remember one was rather cute, an important criteria back then.

Hmmm, passed me by, that one, Gaff! One of my earlier memories, however, is listening to the radio with my Mum, when 'Listen With Mother' was on. I must have been three or four, and the story always started with "Are we sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin....."

When I was that age, I remember my Mom watching Loretta Young on a TV show where she introduced a drama. I was so entraced because she always wore a stunning evening gown and made a majestic entrance. Back in the nineties, I had the pleasure of doing audio for an interview with her. She was as elegant and gracious then. One of crew found a lace hankie she left behind. I took it home and washed it and still display it on my vanity to this day.

Wow Gaff!!! That's amazing!!!! Yes HRPuffnstuff - that was more from my mom's era than mine. And yes Apollo was cute too - but my mom watched BG for Starbuck. Who was also Face on the A TEAM - which we also watched.

Oh my God how could I forget?? My first introduction to Pierce Brosnan.........REMINGTON STEEL anybody???

Gaffer'sGirl- 04-01-2008

RS - was great Gnat. I really enjoyed the intro to Bruce Willis in Moonlighting, very quick, tongue in cheek dialouge. The same Producer/Writer is producing this new pilot that Ioan is in.

Oh my God how could I forget?? My first introduction to Pierce Brosnan.........REMINGTON STEEL anybody??? Me! It was my introduction to Pierce Brosnan, too.

GNAT0629- 04-02-2008

Gaff - same here!! And Bruce Boxleitner in Scarecrow & Mrs. King with Kate Jackson. Frances - wasn't he devine??? Oh here's another goody from my childhood.........couldn't survive an afternoon without my Nickelodean fix of YOU CAN'T DO THAT ON TELEVISION and DOUBLE DARE. YCDTOTV - Alanis Morissette got her start there, and thus the "sliming" was born by the way. Kids these days have no idea the origin of the "sliming", but I know it started there.

Gaffer'sGirl- 04-02-2008

I enjoyed Scarcrow and Mrs. King, too. I know about the slime, but was a little old to be interested in watching it.

GNAT0629- 04-02-2008

That's ok, my mom hated the fact that I did watch it. It was such a fun show!

I fell for Remington Steele's accent right away. What a face, and the way he dressed!! For sure, there was a dashing man! -------------------- GG, I remember vaguely the old Loretta Young Show----she WAS a beauty alright!! So lovely, and those eyes of hers.......wow!

Gaffer'sGirl- 04-02-2008

I'm not so sure I'm remember the Loretta Young show so much as I remember that introduction. I think I wanted to be her. My brother had a huge crush on Kitty Carlisle from What's My Line? I always thought that was kind of funny. He was about 4 or 5.

Shipmate- 04-02-2008

Maybe it was that rather sultry voice and accent of hers? Cute.

Gaffer'sGirl- 04-02-2008

Might have been her name! :dunno Unusual names have some appeal, don't they?
