Well................I do feel like crying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know FF it´s not a masterpiece but I liked it. Hopefully Ioan will get anther wonderful gig that we can look forward to!!
Shipmate- 03-24-2008
I wouldn't mind if there was an FF3, but if not, there are other worlds left to conquer, right?
Gaffer'sGirl- 03-24-2008
That is true, Ship. Could be Ms. Alba's pregnancy put a hitch in plans. We also never know what the future holds. Hopefully, some great roles for Ioan.
Shipmate- 03-24-2008
From the current look of things,......there's not a whole lot on the horizon,work-wise,right now,is there? Tsk,tsk,tsk......... C'mon,Mr. I, you can do it!!!!!!!!!

Yep, it could be that Ms. Alba's pregnancy (and the WGA strike from November 2007 to February 2008) made so that plans for FF3 were put on hold. (I also wonder about the role in this of FF2 having cost more to make and grossed less than FF. )
However, hopefully some great roles will be offered to Ioan soon.

I'm not phased if they make a 3rd one or not it would be nice to make it a trilolgy

Nice article, annee. It seems Ioan is the only one who doesn't have any thoughts on the matter - I wonder if this is because his fans were the most vociferous in condemning the movie?
Frances- 06-21-2008
Interesting read! Thanks, Annee. I wonder what the chances are that we will ever see FF3. I don't know whether Ioan has not given his thoughts on the future of the FF franchise and what he'd like to see next because his fans were the most vociferous in condemning the movie, because he wasn't asked, or because he prefers not to comment till he is sure what the future holds for the movie. :dunno
Gaffer'sGirl- 06-21-2008
It could also be since he's working and not promoting anything right now, he hasn't been interviewed as much lately. I think he did make some comments several months back (before it was announced that Jessica was pregnant). Or as Frances said maybe he doesn't want to comment unless it's a sure thing, especially since he has other projects to occupy his mind and time.
Shipmate- 06-23-2008
I don't know, maybe Ioan is very wise not to comment in any way at this time about speculations of a third film. He's got a fairly full plate at present,so perhaps just biding one's time to see what develops would be the very best course to take. (Maybe,no news is good news, who knows???)
Gaffer'sGirl- 06-23-2008
Quite true, Ship. He's gotten quite a variety of roles this last year. While some may be small(well Moonacre is likely nice sized), it might be more fun as an actor than doing the green screen/ CGI of FF3. I'm sure the money's nicer on FF3, but who knows where the other roles will lead.
Shipmate- 06-23-2008
Oh,I'm sure the 'green screen' action stuff has its good points, but you are right about the other roles, and the nice potential possibilities they could present to Ioan. GO,WELSHBOY,GO! :Wales

Here is a today article I just found out.
A woman wrote the article.
Hee I even let a comment.
Well, as I've already said,
Mr Fantastic is not my favorite
Ioan character.
She doesn't say great things at all about his character either. But doesn't dislike
Ioan I think.
Here it is:

I have to agree with her on the yuckiness of the stretching, regardless of what you feel about Ioan or the movie. Just trying to imagine having a relationship with someone who could do that, makes me feel a bit  I think it stems from a horror story I read as a teenager, where a man falls for a pretty girl and they end up in bed, and they want the light off, so she stretches out her arm and stretches and stretches right across the room... then flicks off the light. In motels no-one can hear you scream..........
Call me conservative, but I like Ioan's appendages to stay exactly where they are, thanks!
Frances- 06-25-2008
I've never read the horror story you mention, Stevie, but I have to agree with you on the yuckiness of the stretching - regardless of what you feel about Ioan or the movie, obviously.
Stretchiness is not a superpower that I would like to have or that I would like someone I have a relationship with to have.
Call me conservative, too.
