Duty
I got a little Hornblower fix last night watching Duty which I hadn't done in quite awhile. I listened to it with the commentary on while I was writing. Ok. that wasn't distracting. But made it more fun. One tidbit I had never noticed before was ******* SPOILER HERE*******
When exploring the Shipwreck, the set was not tilted. Ioan and Paul McGann did tilted acting as they said. Could have fooled me! I would have never guessed. Nice job. Ioan even made it look like he was slipping at one point. Of course maybe he was walking sideways like that.
Anybody watch this lately.
Not for a while,but I can certainly check it out-----no trouble a 'tol,madam!
It's not my favorite Hornblower episode, but that makes it all the newer. I haven't watched it over and over again. I do enjoy seeing Bracegirdle.
One of the other comments was a compliment on how good Ioan was at dubbing. There were some scenes that most to all of the dialouge had to be dubbed. They said actors who study their lines and have some musical abilities seem to do a better job. Maybe that is why Ioan is good at Animated projects, too.
I'm sure it is. I heard him say once in an interview that he knew everybody else's lines when he first started out on Hornblower, so maybe he kept up,at least some of that practice,in some of the following episodes as well.
