That's okay, Annee. Just a gentle nudge in the right direction!
Ms. Julie Fiona talks spills some beans about her "Fireflies" experience.
Julia Roberts thrives as mom and wife
Experience
How was your experience doing “Fireflies in the Garden,” since you were then pregnant with Henry, and your husband was the cinematographer, and the twins were on the set?
It just seemed so natural at the time. It was delightful! My part was small, so the kids and I were able to be there as any family would on location.
How was it working with your husband?
It was great! He’s such a tranquil presence on a set that it’s really nice to be around him. I’m just the lucky girl who gets to be married to that person!

Her part was 'small',huh? I'm looking forward to seeing this one. Annee, thanks. . . . .
These articles mention
Ioan. One is about Wales, the other is about fashion. I found them
funny and I thought to share.
Bilingualism is good for your health
Agence Bretagne Presse - Pouldreuzic,France
I think of Wales. For a country with a population of less than 3,000,000 it
produces a very large number of actors, singers, people who have shone in
the performing arts. More often than not, they were Welsh-speaking – Richard
Burton, Sir Geraint Evans, Bryn Terfel, and among the current crop of
emerging Hollywood stars, Ioan Gruffudd and Matthew Rhys.

Henry Conway: What 'Queen Sloane' did next
With an ice-block backdrop, it was a positively Arctic experience, braved by
Ioan Gruffudd and Victoria Beckham's producer pal Damon Dash.

Annee, I found that first article very interesting, and as a former teacher, it was fascinating to read about educational developments in another country. ~~~~~~~~~~ Has anyone ever heard Ioan speak about his parents teaching positions in any interviews, etc.? Did I understand correctly that his dad is a headmaster at a school in Cardiff? His mom a teacher at the same school? Maybe they are retired by now? ~~~~~~~~ Also, Ioan's sister, she's a med student??? Just got my curiousity up today-------
Ship - Check out that article that Annee posted in Snippets ( I think). Ioan mentioned a little bit about his father and his image as deputy headmaster. Nice reading.
Thanks,GG...I'll do just that...
I have a MySpace page.
EDIT: if someone wants to add me or be added, PM me and I wil pass my address.
Annee, I'm not sure it's wise to give out your addy on a public page? You could do it one of the members only sections, unless you're not concerned who adds you on MySpace?

Well, I figured Not Ioan's Derailed Thoughts might be the best place to post this.
A few of you may remember my post awhile back about my brother's book Inanna's Tears.
I just got word from my brother (MPMann) that Entertainment Weekly - a reputable magazine on all forms of entertainment media has reviewed his most recent project. He did the artwork for a graphic novel called Some New Kind of Slaughter (about mythological and religious Floods ) and the reviewer gave it an excellent grade. The review should be out in this upcoming issue, though it's not guaranteed. It's not as dry as it sounds as it is told in an exciting way.
If you are interested, below is a link to the blog for the book.

GG, that sounds like a graphic novel I'd love to read! That's a good review. We have a very dramatic mural of the story of Noah all along the corridor into out unit (the artwork was touchingly donated by the parents of a child who we could not save, and serves as a memorial) This review brought its drama to mind.
Congratulations to your brother! What a talented family the Manns are!
Wow, I'm glad to hear your brother and his work is getting the recognition they deserve, GG. I had a look at your brother's website and discovered that he worked on several graphic novels that I'd like to read.
Thnaks to both of you. I just hope that I can reach his level of talent someday. His work has always been amazing, but success has taken a long time. Glad you liked his site. I believe some of his works can be gotten through Barnes and Noble.com or Amazon.
Forgive me for this moment of anneethepoisonsnake but...

Reality Check. The article mentions Piers and Ioan.
CELEBRITY APPRENTICE
Piers and Omarosa's final blowout was so touching. He (allegedly) called her a "bitch" and a "whore" and she told The Donald he was "in the closet." But Piers had the last laugh, with his team selling more than $100,000 worth of art in this week's challenge. Why? Because his black book has names such as Ioan Gruffudd and Gordon Ramsay in it, and Omarosa's is, well, empty.
