Honestly, I think that new computers seldom give as many problems as yours is giving to you (and consequently to the manufacturer's help desk).
I've always half-jokingly said that a warranty only covers items when it is very unlikely that they break and need repairs and it is usually the day after the warranty expires that troubles start.
As for problems with computers, the power supply unit of my sister-in-law's computer stopped working and my sister-in-law was told that she has better buy a new computer, as hers is 3 or 4 years old.
Hello.
Thanks Frances for all the advices and I'm sorry about your sister-in-law.
Paooo old when it's only 4 years old! Technology runs! :/
Ha, my sister-in-law was asked for 1,300 (yes, one thousand and three hundred) euros to have her computer fixed. It is true that it was a Mac (expensive to buy and expensive to fix, if they break), but she thought that it was a bit too much to spend on an "old" computer, so I gave her the Mac that I've just stopped using because I have a newer one now, while she inquires about if she can have hers fixed for less or if she has better buy a new one.
Because I worked in IT before I retired, I've probably had more computers than most of you.
Some are just lemons, and I've had mre than my share.
Sorry N.
You're right, Havoc.
My sister-in-law and I had computers that were the same model of the same brand: I only added some RAM to my computer in the five years that I had it and I only changed it because I wanted something newer and the youngest of my two brothers found the way to get one for me for less than I would have spent to buy in a store, my sister-in-law had to replace her computer hard disk a year and a half ago and now its power supply unit stopped working.
Thank you Havoc. :)
It's nice from you Frances.
You sister-in-law must be happy.
My computer is back. for now it works thanks God. Let's see! :)
