Nicolette, if your computer is recent enough to be still under warranty, I'd take it to the store that sold it to you and have it repaired.

Personaly I've got problems too. At the "memory Testing", whe the computer starts. It "blocks", it doens't do the "Memory Testing". And it stay that way indefinetly. I have to stop the computer, open it and touch the two memorys "sticks", then re-start the computer. It works for the moment that way. Still BIZARRE and BORING knowing it's a recent computer. Pffff Memory problems can be bad and they can end up corrupting your disk because your memory determines where things are written to the disk. Hopefully, as Frances says, your computer is still under warranty. It sounds more as if the memory's connection to your motherboard is faulty, which is safer than what I described. I'm not sure how you bought your computer, but take it to the store or call tech support soon. Most computer manufacturers have a 3-year warranty.

I believe that the person meant the power supply in your computer, so the cord won't help. Now, replacing power supplies is easy and cheap. It is something that often goes wrong with computers. But usually, the power supply is an all or nothing proposition. When I wrote 'cord", I was actually referring to the whole external power unit. Is it possible that this is not sending enough juice to charge the computer or battery? Or are you saying there might be an internal component that is not dispersing the power correctly? My USB's were acting up, even though the control panel said that the ports and hub were not broken and should function properly.

Thanks for the advices. :) Well, I am scared because I have ALREADY sent the computer to the warranty service. They said the hard drive was dead! You are right. :/ Tey replaced it with a new one, but rapidly after I received back my repaired computer, the SAME problem happened and stimll happening! I have to send it back to the warranty service. :(

Frances- 05-03-2009

Nicolette, don't be scared to send your computer to the warranty service just because you've already sent it to them once: helping people solve their problem with computers is their job.

Nicolette- 05-03-2009

Thanks, yes, I guess you are right. Pfff still I feel bad to call them again! Like it's me who damage the computer. :/ But I have no choice. I will call them.

Frances- 05-03-2009

I think you just had the bad luck to be stuck with a faulty computer, Nicolette, as it is seldom the case that computers start having problems so soon after they have been bought.

Nicolette- 05-04-2009

Yes, it's bad luck there. :( As you, I can't live without a computer and the Web. Happpily my brother gave me an old computer of his, to help me wait for the new one beeing repaired. :)

Frances- 05-04-2009

It is nice of your brother to give you an old computer of his to use till your computer is repaired. Luckily, he kept his old computer when he bought a new one instead of disposing of it.

Nicolette- 05-05-2009

Yes, he is nice. :) Because without a computer for weeks I can NOT live.

Frances- 05-06-2009

Because without a computer for weeks I can NOT live. Neither can I. I wonder how it was possible to live without a computer, Internet, or a cell phone and there was a time when I did without them.

Nicolette- 05-07-2009

Haha yes it's true. We all did without computers and the Web. It's bizarre!

Nicolette- 05-11-2009

That's done. This morning I sent my new computer for reparation and now I'm using my brother old mobile computer. Pfffffff I hope they will repair my computer, and soon! :/

StevieT- 05-11-2009

I hope so too, Nicolette! :fingcross: With the problems and repeated repairs you've had, they ought to give you a whole new computer!

Nicolette- 05-20-2009

Thank you Stevie. :) I hope so too! but I don't dream. Huum, I think they will give back the same one. :/ Just a feeling.
