My dad and sister are to "blame" that I became Western fan. My dad used to watch it, it is his favorite genre and myself and me sis Aida watched along. Aida for the horses and I, I guess because she watched and I thought it must be cool since she think so. She wanted to be a doctor but only for horses when she was little.
We were familiar with all of the actors and movies that appeared in Westerns. John Wayne was a legend in my father's opinion. And Gregory Peck, Garry Cooper, Charles Bronson ... and many others did their share of Westerns that were great. Recently there was a sale in one of Video/DVD stores of Western collection for bargain price and my sister bought a few I think it was Rio Bravo, (original) 3:10 to Yuma and her all time favorite Magnificent 7. Now speaking of Mag7 she was a huge fan and still is of same series starring Michael Biehn, Ron Pearlman and Anthony Starke (she is nuts over her BrigaDear General Ezra Standish played by Anthony) that firs aired in 1998. And she finally is a proud owner of 2 seasons Mag7 DVD's .
I loved Calamity Jane played by Doris GG! I still remember that scene when she first wore that beautiful white dress! Makes me wanna see it again!
So it is not a surprise that I am totally a nut case when it comes to McLeod's Daughters. It is a rural western modern kind of drama with a lot of humor that makes you wanna laugh, cry, dance and sing at the same time!
And there is another thing about me you need to know: I love, love ,love watching any kind of cop/detective/crime TV shows and I when young wanted to be a cop. (A faze of mine but I still enjoy a good crime series) But that is another whole subject that maybe we should open like maybe as questions what shows you/we like/d.

I used to dream of becoming a vet and like documentaries about wildlife when I was little (I still like documentaries, actually, though I'm not limited to wildlife now).

I've never wanted to be a cop, but I love detective films (and novels), too.
I enjoy detective shows, too. But, I would never think of becoming a cop. I'd be willing to marry one though.

Oh, me too! It's that uniform that we can't resist!
But, oh, how the stab vest scratches..............

They are all beautiful Stevie and as I said every song is written especially for the show.
Two CD's with the songs from the show have been released and there are rumors about the third one.
Sadly for thousands of fans from all over the world who are watching the McLD the show has been axed last November and they've finished the shooting of final eight season I believe in March. But there are no news when Australian Chanel Nine will air it and everyone is waiting impatiently for last couple of months. There has even been a huge farewell party with the stars of the show after the last scene was shot in or near the town where the they were filming. Many fans attended and some of them flew from German, United States, Italy, Norway, Belgium...to Australia to see their favorite star. And there has even been a garage sale of wardrobe that the stars wore on the show along with all other things used on the location. The property of Kingsford mainly known to millions of fans as fictional property of McLeod's Daughters called "Drovers Run " is being sold for 1million+$. And someone is even selling a jar of dirt/soil from location of Kingsford (Drovers Run) property on ebay for deluded fans!
How weird is that!?
I am crazy about the show but not that much to buy the dirt!

:rotf: That gave me a wonderful laugh after a long day at work. You're right people will buy some pretty unusual things if it's associated with something they like, won't they?
