Another female fru-fru project out the window.
Embroidery. One of those things I occasionally will pick up...and then put down again before I stab out my eyes with the needle in frustration. Embroidery floss is evil. It knots when you don't want it too and doesn't when you do. I have been trying to do a french knot for over a half hour and so far I have a bunch of lopsided stitches instead of knots and HUGE gangling knots that use up half the floss on my needle. I supposed to have nice little princess leia buns on my practice muslin. Why don't I have nice little princess leia buns on my practice muslin? WHY? Why dammit. *Repeatedly stabs muslin with needle* YOU WILL DO MY BIDDING!!!!!!!! Now I have a really big knot. And not where I WANT IT! I have a mangled tangle at the base of my fabric..and only a stub of floss left....time to put this awayyyy now. Maybe I should try this project with ribbon instead. Ribbons are big and I think I might manage a french knot with ribbon. ****Stupid embroidery floss. .....Not making my little princess leia buns....*****

French knots are torture and Crewel is cruel. Ribbon might work.
