Amazing Grace DVD release?

It's one worth waiting for. I'm sure you will enjoy it immensely Frances. From what I've seen and heard of it, it's one of those movies that I love, independently from my liking the actors in them. December seems a long time away. Maybe, they are thinking Christmas gifts. (or better yet the O-word) We can only hope. Actually, the only advantage that I could personally get from the dvd being released in December is that I could easily make sure I receive it as a present (Christmas is my birthday), but I'm ready to pay for my copy.

I haven´t seen the film either, so.... I´m going bananas!!!!!

Gahh! This is my favorite "Ioan" film and I can't wait much longer for it. I checked the US amazon.com site and they still have no listing for AG, but the UK site has it up. It better be available to purchase by August.

I've given up all hope that AG will be shown here in Germany in theatres, so I pre-ordered my copy on Amazon UK yesterday. It's cheaper to order it there than to order it on Amazon Germany, where they are offering it as a UK Import, and judging from past experiences with Amazon UK, it will be here within a week once it is released. :dance I pre-ordered the new Jane Eyre miniseries with Toby Stephens there, too, and it got here only 3 days after it was released.

Another good site for Europeans to order dvd released in the UK is Play.com (the price they list include shipping). Anyway, I had good experiences with Amazon UK, but I'll wait till AG is actually released on dvd before ordering it because the only bad experience that I had with Amazon UK is on a pre-order that was cancelled before the dvd was shipped.

Guess What......... AG will not be shown in theatres here in Argentina..... RATS; RATS; and more RATS!!!!!!!! :deadhorse: :deadhorse: :deadhorse:

amazing grace is listed on Amazon UK's site, but nothing is up on the Amazon US website. I'm guessing it is only coming out on DVD in August in the UK. :( That stinks, but hopefully it will be available here in the US really soon.

Kind of nutty when you think about it. It was released in US Feb 23rd. And then in UK a month later, March 22. Now it looks like UK gets DVD first and then US later!!!!!???????

If only I had a region 2 dvd player!! I have seriously thought of buying one off of ebay just so I can buy AG and watch it.

Going by how long it takes DVDs to be released in Australia I'd say that the US should be getting AG in August and the UK in September. Maybe it's not ultra high on the priority list because of it's genre and because it doesn't have metal vehicles that turn into robots or girls that turn invisible then reappear wearing nothing, in it. :wink: I don't know, I just think that maybe it's not the general American's type of movie, therefore it won't be released on DVD as quick as others. It will be released soon enough, just maybe not as soon as we'd have liked. Make sense?
