I don't do much on Amazon, but I wonder if there is any way to let them know he should be listed. Does anyone know?

The strange thing is that you can do a search for Ioan and they will come up with his films that don't list him! My guess is it's an HTML typo - see how I'm using my newfound skill, ladies? (beams with pride :sun )

I tried this morning too.

I got a return e-mail from Amazon saying they would look into the issue, but I don't see a change yet on the listing.

He talked to me for about 10 minutes! I explained that the fans at this website feel that the lead character needs to be listed on the page. He asked me to spell the name, how to pronounce it repeatedly, etc. I had him look at the Amazon page with me...and he agreed that the lead character should be listed. I explained that the lead character is pictured on the DVD case on the top - just not ANYwhere on the page. (He told me that he is a fan of John Wayne and that he wouldn't like it if John Wayne wasn't listed on the page.) I had him also look at the "Related Video" on the Amazon page and he noticed that "Ioan Gruffudd" is written across the screen there while Ioan is speaking. Anyway, he said he would contact the marketing department and indeed have "Ioan Gruffudd" added to the page within the next few days. I told him I would be watching. Now, THIS is why Ioan needs us and why he should be grateful to us!! So, I will be watching. What is his publicist doing? Sort of missing the mark, don't you think? I have seen "Amazing Grace the DVD to be released next Tuesday" advertised on different TV stations throughout the day, today.

BTW, I discovered that a feedback section is at the the bottom of the page for each product listed on Amazon: if you have an account with Amazon, you can click on "update product info " and access a catalog update form and suggest changes to the page. Now, THIS is why Ioan needs us and why he should be grateful to us!! Yes, definitely. Fans can be more efficient than publicists...:whistle What is his publicist doing? Sort of missing the mark, don't you think? In fact, you'd expect publicists would make sure their clients' names are not forgotten, so Ioan's publicist missed the mark in this case.

Good going, ilovemy life! It's nice to know that faceless corporations listen to the little guy sometimes. I think the fact that Ioan's publicists/agents whatever are not doing what they're paid for is increasingly evident. Most of us would do a better job!
