Thanks for the articles and clips. Just watched the 10 minute video of the behind the scenes - did anyone notice that the music playing in the background is the same music used in King Arthur? I was listsening to the actors and then the music caught my attention, I had to think and replay, but then it hit me that it was in King Arthur - small world. Ioan's voice does sound funny but then again, he is a prototype robot - so I guess he has to have that monitone sound to his voice.

StevieT- 07-15-2007

I think his voice is an 'in-joke'. He seems to be doing a spoof of Roger Moore, who's also in the film. I remember a clip of the filming and Ioan's expressions as he recorded the voice were a take off of moore's famous 'one eyebrow' acting. could be totally wrong of course; I think they were all having a lot of fun.

Thanks for the articles Annee. I enjoyed reading them

midnightmagicgirl- 07-17-2007

I just watched the trailer on youtibe Ioan sounds so different!. I don't think I will be going to see this one it's to much like thunderbirds and quite frankly scares me a little.

JeepGirl83- 07-17-2007

I hope it doesn't flop, but it looks pretty bad. Sorry Ioan!

StevieT- 07-18-2007

I don't think it looks bad, I think it's a particular genre of 'tongue-in-cheek' animation. I'm looking forward to it. :hide2:

zoo.station- 07-18-2007

Good for you Stevie! Each is to their own, I just get freaked out by those sorts of characters which is one of the reasons I stayed away from Thunderbirds.

StevieT- 07-18-2007

Ahhhh, Thunderbirds!!!!! Now there's a childhood memory! I always had to be Virgil when we played it, which was often, and it was funny how we never seemed to notice the strings then, though the original looks so amateurish now. Sighhhhhhh!

Gaffer'sGirl- 07-18-2007

Maybe being familiar with and a fan of the THUNDERBIRDS helps because I found it looked quite interesting, too. Plus I'm a fan of puppetry, so I like trying to figure out how they did it. Of course, back with the Thunderbirds, you could see the strings, hopefully they've blocked them out in Agent Crush. We had a local rod puppet show when I was a kid called Diver Dan that was part of another show. It would be booted off today because it looked so amaturish, but I loved it. GG

Oh my god, I loved Diver Dan when I was a kid! Remember the Barracuda?

Gaffer'sGirl- 07-19-2007

Yes, I do and the little goldfish. I was trying to remember if that was Hobo Kelly show or Engineer Bill. You might know who both of them are. I won a large package of Milky Way candy bars from Engineer Bill at a public appearance. I was the envy of my siblings and excited that I hadn't gotten the stupid, stick on the wall, rubber toy like two of my brothers. Then, when I got home my mom made me share them which depleted my supplies from ten to three. Quite disappointed at that point. GG

julia- 07-19-2007

Oh, yes, I remember both Engineer Bill and Hobo Kelly. Yikes! I'm going to have to discuss this with my own siblings now...to see what they remember. Whodda thunk that these would be dredged up on a site about a Welsh actor! :happy

Gaffer'sGirl- 07-20-2007

Quite funny and true. I should ask one of my sibs too as I still can't remember. GG

Red Admiral- 08-15-2007

Thanks for the link. Interesting watching the clip. Not sure whether I will go though - I'm not that keen on animated features. The script sounds quite humorous, although I agree with midnightmagicgirl - Ioan DOES sound very different

Shipmate- 09-28-2007

Don't know what caused me to do it today, but I visited the AGENT CRUSH website-------www.agentcrush.com-------and, it's developed quite a lot since the last time (months ago, now) I looked. I really didn't take the time to linger over everything, but there seems to be some behind-the-scenes stuff now, and some video/audio previews beginning.............just a little something new and different.........if you're interested...
