Hi Annee, Ummm,am I missing something?? WHY would this make anybody sad??? About the only thing 'sad' that I could see about it is that maybe a little too much 'public records' is available for snoopy people to get hold of,and then maybe bug the poor guy to death!! Sheeeeeeesh! Even a PICTURE of the place too???!!!!

Because I always feel inferior and low profile when I read this stuff. :(
Oh. It just sounds like an awful lot of up-keep and fancy landscaping hassel to me. To say nothing of the housekeeping bills Matthew is going to have to fork out to maintain the place. But,when you've got the money........hey,spend it,right?!!!!
Like Ship, I see nothing sad in Matthew buying a house in the L.A. area. He is working there and must live there while working. Seems to me it is a smart investment. Much better than wasting money renting, if you are in a situation to buy.
I do feel uncomfortable that the site lists a street when the general area would be sufficient. It looks like a nice house and 1,300 ft. isn't all that large. My two bedroom condo was 1050ft and believe me, it wasn't too much for my stuff. It was a whole lot cheaper. Two car garage would be nice.
I'm with Shipmate on this. I'm not sure I would want a pic of my house and how much I paid for it to end up in the news. However, it doesn't make me sad to hear how much Matthew Rhys paid for his LA home and to see a pic of it. The house is a bit pricey, but if Matthew Rhys can afford to buy and maintain it, good for him. Honestly, I don't feel inferior and low key... I like my home and my life...
Cute!! If he needs someone to clean up.....
Nothing sad about this to me, either! When I win the Lottery I'll move in next door......mojito anyone?
'If you've got it, flaunt it!' as we say over here.........if we are to feel inferior about others having more than us, then we may as well go back to bed and stay there for the rest of our lives. Enjoy what you have and if you don't like it, change it....that's my motto!

Definitely! As my grandfather said, never feel inferior about others having more than us, because there will always be someone who is better-looking than you, more intelligent than you, or richer than you, etc., so if you let this make you sad, you will forever be unhappy, so you should make the best of what you have and try to change what you don't like and can change...
I Agree with both you ladies.
